, Project Citizen is a huge project to help the society. Its basically revolves around a huge problem in society, and how your going to help. My group's idea was drug abuse. Now we picked this idea because is becoming a problem that escalates its numbers. And it now starting from younger ages, people have become addicts by the age of only 17! And even worst states, are starting to legalize it making it okay. We are on our third board out of four boards right and were talking about we can help out with the problem. And what policies help them out, and reach out to provide them help when needed. Since its been worsening as the years pass by we have to do something to stop it now!

For Time magazine we had a social studies part which was to draw up a cartoon on how our political will look 20 years from now compared to how it was in the 1970s. So what I drew up was for the 1970s was a normal election like we still do nowadays. I drew a list of candidates and someone voting for one. And for the 2027 one I decided to get creative. I use the movie Hunger Games as my inspiration for this part. What I did was I would make the candidates fight for presidency and the last one standing would be elected. What do you think will happen 20 years from now?
Valley Forge was military camp where the American Continental Army spent the winter of 1777-1778. This was all during the American Revolutionary War. But things like to starvation, and disease ended up killing more than 2,500 soldiers. They didn't have much food to live on because how many people there were. And they got sick easily since one person spread the sickness to another. Then George Washington and the troops had moved to a more safer place. I am still learning about this topic about it seems as if they made really decisions in the past.
This was a hard project for me because it had to do with public speaking, which I personally isn't really good with it. We had to basically explain what happen in the French and Indian War and why it lead to the America Revolution. Even though it was a group project everyone had their own parts in the project, and there own grades. My question was "Why were the colonists dissatisfied with the outcome of the war?". The reason was because the war costs $7 million euros. And the colonists ended up paying all of the debts with the acts as in, the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, and the Townshend Act. But after all the acts the colonists thought they were taking advantage of the taxes, so they dropped all of them expect for the one on tea. That's what I presented then me and my group did a summary, and questions to go with it. And even though I don't really like public speaking, I still got a 100.😁
So I had another group project for social studies and it had be about something I learn about this marking period so me and my group member made a replica of the Mayflower. We made it out of card board, tissues, and paint. We even made a drawing and an essay. The Mayflower had 102 passengers people were hoping to have religious freedom, and others want new land. They set land in September 1620.They didn't know the dangers that lead ahead. On the 66th day, two people died and was born. They landed in November 1620 which is when they them Mayflower Compact saying they'll stick together. They called the land Plymouth and stole corn from the Natives. The winter brought sickness and only half survive. They were called the pilgrims and from there the U.S.A. started to be built and from there that was Thanksgiving.
So recently I had a Social Studies project which was to pick someone in history that helped develop a colony. So i choose Roger Williams. Roger Williams is known for founding the state of Rhode island back in 1603-1683, and helping out with religious freedom. Roger had expressed his thoughts to the public about religious freedom. From doing this the people who didn't agree such as the church, had decided that he would be banished from the colony because of his beliefs that we should have religious freedom. From there Roger and his followers, went to settling on Narragansett Bay and then decided to buy land from the Narragansett Indians. After Roger bought the land, he had decided to make the land that he bought a colony. The colony would be built on the fact that it had religious freedom. And that it was far from the church followers who denied the wantings of religious freedom. When people who weren't church followers heard about the colony they soon settled there. The rest of America and it’s founders had heard about colony which inspired them to create the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.
